2. Blessing of the Animals

In honor of St. Francis of Assisi, we will again be holding a“Blessing of the Animals” at the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, Oct. 6th. Bring your pets to church, where they will receive a special blessing. If you can’t bring your pet along, bring a photo of them or a stuffed animal, instead. There will be a pet parade, balloon artist, and treats, as well!

Our youth group, St. James CREW, will be sponsoring a collection for the Priceless Pets Rescue in Costa Mesa. They've setup an Amazon Gift List with the items that the rescue needs; you can use the list to purchase items and have them sent directly to St. James or bring to mass on October 6 when we celebrate the Blessing of the Animals. The Crew team will have a table during mass to collect the items and then take to Priceless Pets.
